Privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-10-15

This policy explains what happens to information when you or your child play Fuzzlums: Match & Save (the "game") on Android. We wrote it for parents, in plain words.

The game is published by Ludovic Marion (Tapagaille Studios). For questions about your data or to exercise your rights, write to luluvroumette012@gmail.com.

You can also open this policy from the game: Settings, then Parents' corner, then "Privacy".

The short version

  • The game has no account and no sign-in. We never ask for a name, an e-mail address, a photo, contacts or a precise location.
  • There is no chat and no way to talk to other players.
  • Your progress is saved on your device. We do not have a server, and we never receive your game data.
  • The game shows ads from Google AdMob. To show an ad, Google receives some technical information from the device (see section 3).
  • The game has no purchases: nothing is paid for, and the game never receives any payment information.

1. What stays on your device

The game saves on the device, and only there:

  • your progress: levels played, stars, scores, the current world;
  • your coins, stars, lives, boosters, chests, quests and season progress;
  • the Fuzzlums you rescued, their levels and your shelter;
  • your settings: music, sounds, vibration, larger text, high contrast, reduced motion;
  • how many optional video ads were watched today to double the daily gift or to open a chest (these videos have a daily maximum);
  • what Google's consent tool (section 3) keeps to remember its answer from one session to the next;
  • a short technical note about the last crash, if the game ever closes by accident. It is not sent to us.

None of this is sent to us. If the Android backup is turned on for your Google account, Android may include this game data in that backup, so it can come back on a new phone. That backup is handled by Google, and we cannot see it.

You can erase all of it at any time by uninstalling the game, or in Android settings: Apps, Fuzzlums, Storage, Clear data. This also erases your progress.

2. How long information is kept

  • Game data (section 1) stays on the device until you clear the game's data or uninstall the game. We keep no copy: we have no server and no account database.
  • The information sent to Google for ads (section 3) is kept by Google as described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/retention. We never receive it.
  • If you write to us, we keep your message only as long as we need to answer it, and at most 12 months, then we delete it.

3. Ads (Google AdMob)

The game is free, with no purchases at all, and is funded only by ads. An ad may play between levels, at most once every three levels won. The player can also choose, on a button marked "Ad", to watch a video ad to get 5 extra moves or 1 extra life, to double the daily gift or to open a waiting chest right away; they can always say no. Ads are provided by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited for users in the European Economic Area and Switzerland, Google LLC everywhere else, including the United Kingdom).

To choose an ad, show it, count it and prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the game collects and sends to Google:

  • the device's IP address, which can be used to estimate its general location (country or city, never a precise location);
  • ad interactions: which ads were shown, tapped or watched;
  • diagnostic information: performance and stability of the game and of the ad library;
  • device and app identifiers, such as the app set ID, together with basic device information (model, system version, language).

Ads for children. The game is designed for children. Every ad request tells Google that the game is directed to children, and asks only for ads suitable for a general audience (rated "G"). Google then turns off personalized ads and remarketing for these requests, and the ad library does not send the Android advertising ID. The game does not even ask for permission to read it (section 6).

Europe and the United Kingdom. When the game starts, it asks Google's consent tool (the User Messaging Platform) whether consent rules apply where you are; for this, Google receives the IP address and technical information about the device. The game tells it that every player is under the age of digital consent: your child is never asked to give consent, and personalized ads and remarketing stay off there too. Until the consent tool has answered (for example without an internet connection), the game shows no ads at all. If Google ever requires a way to review these choices, an "Ad choices" row appears in the game: Settings, then Parents' corner.

Google's own privacy policy applies to this data: https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can learn how Google uses information from apps that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

4. No purchases

The game has no in-app purchases: nothing is paid for, not to remove the ads, not for the season, not for coins or stars, which are only earned by playing. The game does not use Google Play's payment system and never receives any payment information.

5. Notifications

The game can show a few local reminders: when a chest is ready, when the free spin of the bonus wheel is back, when lives are full, when a quest is done, and once a day for the daily gift. They are scheduled on the device itself: no message comes from a server, and no information leaves the device for them. You can turn them off in Android settings, one kind at a time.

On Android 13 and newer, the game asks for permission to show notifications the first time it opens; it works the same if you say no.

6. Permissions

The game asks Android for:

  • notifications, for the local reminders above;
  • vibration, for small vibrations during play (you can turn them off in the game settings);
  • start at boot, only to put the reminders back after the phone restarts;
  • internet access and network state, added by the Google libraries, to load ads.

The game does not ask for the Google Play purchase permission (BILLING): it has no purchases.

The game does not ask for the camera, the microphone, contacts, photos, files or location. It does not ask for the Android advertising ID either: the permission the ad library would add (AD_ID) is removed, together with those of Android's "Privacy Sandbox" (advertising ID, interests, measurement).

List verified in the Android 1.0 release manifest (15 October 2026), including technical permissions added by Google and AndroidX libraries:

  • android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS
  • android.permission.VIBRATE
  • android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED
  • android.permission.INTERNET
  • android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
  • android.permission.WAKE_LOCK
  • android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE
  • fr.fuzzlums.fuzzlums.DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSION

7. Analytics and crash reports

The game uses neither Firebase Analytics nor Firebase Crashlytics, nor a separate analytics or crash reporting service. This does not exclude the diagnostics and ad measurement collected by AdMob, described in section 3. If we add another service, we will update this policy and the Google Play listing before releasing the version that uses it.

8. Children

Fuzzlums: Match & Save is made for children aged about 5 to 9 and their families. The game itself collects no personal information from children: there is no account, no chat, no form and no way to share a picture or a message. The only information that leaves the device is the technical information that Google's ad library collects to show ads (section 3): the IP address and device identifiers such as the app set ID. Under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), this information is used only to support the internal operations of the game: showing contextual, non-personalized ads, limiting how often an ad is shown, counting ads and preventing fraud. It is never used to contact your child, to build a profile, or for interest-based advertising or remarketing, because every ad request is marked as directed to children (section 3). In the European Union, we also follow the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

If you think your child has given us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

9. Legal bases (European Union and United Kingdom)

  • Ads: the technical information collected by Google's ad library (section 3) is used on the basis of our legitimate interest in funding a free game with non-personalized ads (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), with the child-protection settings of section 3.
  • Messages you send us: to answer you (our legitimate interest).

Google may process information outside the European Union, including in the United States, with the safeguards described in its privacy policy (such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework).

10. Your rights

Apart from the messages you send us (section 2), we do not keep any personal data about you or your child: the game data stays on your device, where you can erase it at any time (see section 1). For the data handled by Google for ads, you can use Google's tools, or contact Google directly.

If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability. You can contact us at any time about these rights. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL: www.cnil.fr).

11. Security

The information the Google libraries send for ads travels encrypted (HTTPS). The game data on the device is protected by Android, like the data of every app.

12. Changes to this policy

If the game changes in a way that affects your information, we will update this page and the date at the top before the new version is released.
